“Washington” Dairy Day

DAIRY DAY has historically been a fun, harmless way for the state’s dairy industry to promote itself, its products, and the jobs it supports. It gets an official proclamation, and the delightful young Dairy Ambassadors serve complimentary ice cream to legislative staff and visitors alike.

Why then, as I have on reliable account, are they serving Safeway Select ice cream from California today?

My wife was a legislative intern last session, and one of her friends from that time, who is still working at the Capitol, posted that information on her Facebook page. (I”m currently working on a confirmation, as I’m not officially ‘friends’ with this person.)
